Guilherme Gazabim appointed new Country Manager for Svitzer in Mozambique
Effective 1 May 2021, Guilherme Gazabim takes on the position as Country Manager for Svitzer in Mozambique.
Guilherme Gazabim comes from a position as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Nacala Corridor – a Vale and Mitsui JV – and brings 18 years of professional experience with managing teams at multinational and national companies in the Logistics and Agribusiness segments, including leading the turn-around of a logistics company in Brazil, responsible for managing 1,500 employees and three ports. Furthermore, he has worked in different areas such as Commercial, Planning and Maintenance and has been member of the Board of the CDN, CLN, CEAR and DDN Port in Mozambique and Malawi.

Svitzer started operating in Mozambique on 1 September 2020 and provides harbor towage for Nacala Logistics (CLN) at the port of Nacala, servicing the recently built coal terminal and the main port at Nacala Porto with the two 69t BP ASD tugs Svitzer Nampula and Svitzer Nacala.
