Before joining Svitzer, Maria held several senior executive roles at Danfoss, most recently serving as Vice President of the Electric Heating Business Unit. Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, where she defined the company’s growth roadmap and led the M&A agenda across multiple industrial segments.

Maria brings more than 20 years of global experience across the energy, maritime, aerospace, and digital industries. She has previously held senior roles at Kongsberg Gruppen and McKinsey & Company, leading large-scale commercial excellence and procurement initiatives across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.

She holds a PhD in Electrochemistry from the University of Vienna and a MSc in Chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires.
