Daniel has been with Svitzer since December 2013 and assumed the role of Managing Director, Americas in January 2026. Previously, he held the role of Managing Director, Brazil from 2020.

Daniel started his career with Maersk in 2007 and joined Svitzer December 2013 as part of the newly started Business Transformation team. Working globally with frontline projects before relocating to Australia for a two-year period leading several cross-functional business improvement projects within Commercial, Business Development, Operations and Crewing. As Svitzer entered the market in Brazil, Daniel took part in getting traction commercially and implemented new port operations. He was offered a role in Business Development in Brazil, leading to a position as Branch Manager for Port of Santos, one of the biggest ports in South America. In 2020 took on the position as MD in Brazil. The constant interaction with clients, crews, colleagues, and local stakeholders is one thing that Daniel finds very rewarding and a never-ending learning experience.

Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration and General Management from Copenhagen Business School.
