Towage Infrastructure Levy – Melbourne
The below letter outlines the introduction of a Towage Infrastructure Levy for harbour towage services provided by Svitzer for the Port of Melbourne effective from 1 January 2025.
To meet the increased safety standards and service levels required of the Port through its new Towage Licence, Svitzer has introduced new assets and invested in additional infrastructure, crewing and training. These investments will help ensure the Port of Melbourne continues to provide best-in-class standards of service and is responsive to the needs of the shipping and maritime industry.
